Exhibition Reflection Week 8

This week in Exhibition, we had to create information texts about what we our lines of inquiry/research questions. How I did it and most of my friends did it, is that we chose the most important answer’s of what we had found out from our lines of inquiry/research questions. I eventually sorted out my most important and my least important ones. Another thing that happened in Exhibition this week, well it was technically maths. For maths we had to if we hadn’t already go deeper with our answers to create a graph.

Research Reflection

This section you could say of exhibition was a bit of a struggle for me because I had a heap of trouble trying to get my primary source. So, eventually I asked if I could send an email to Hutt St Centre for my primary source, so I ended up doing it by I only did it 2 days ago, so I haven’t got a reply from them yet which is a bit sad. So I haven’t got    a primary source I tried to talk to some of the older year 5’s but couldn’t work out a time to meet up without them missing out on there lessons so I couldn’t speak to them either. But the rest of the finding out stage of the research stage went well like I found out heaps of notes like for my first line of inquiry/research question. So, the line of inquiry was, what are some patterns of homelessness so the notes I got where, some patterns of homelessness where people living in dwellings, tents or sleeping out, some others I got where in supported accommodation, couch surfing or sleeping on someone’s couch, boarding houses, in other temporary lodgings or in severely crowed areas.

For the sorting out stage of the research stage I had to sort out my lines of inquiry/research questions patterns of homelessness, what’s the relationship between homelessness and abuse and what impact does homelessness have on society. So I had to sort out all my notes. So, my notes for my first line of inquiry/research question are in the first paragraph so just have a quick flick back (make sure it’s quick you might lose where you are in this paragraph, so be quick!!) So my second line of inquiry is what’s the relationship between homelessness and abuse so my notes where. For allot it has caused them to be homeless, survivors of abuse may have turned to homelessness to seek somewhere safe to go but they are still going somewhere unsafe for them to stay, those who are experiencing abuse are forced to flee because they might get hurt or worse die. Also, you might have seen an ad last year about abuse and  1 more second of the ad it would have made me cry that’s one of the reasons why I chose this line of inquiry because I don’t think its ok that some people get abused and the are to scared, and go into homeless because they are to scared to return to there house because they fear because they have run away they will get more abused then before and then they might run away again and then they will get more and more abused and then they might go to to someone like the police or a homeless service such as Hutt St Centre and then they will contact the police.

During the going further stage of research stage we had to go further with our questions to find more detailed answers. So, I think that I had already gone further with my questions for example I found out more detailed answers. One answer I had of going further was, survivors of abuse may turn to to homelessness to seek somewhere safe but they are still going to somewhere unsafe to stay.

Tuning in reflection year 5 exhibition

Firstly, why I chose this global issue is because sometimes when you go for a walk around the city you sometimes see someone doing it tough. So that’s reason one. So the second reason why I chose this global issue is when I see someone doing it tough it makes me almost cry. So if you did not already guess my global issue is homelessness. And you may ask why I and so passionate about this? Because I don’t think its ok that some people don’t have home to go to and no warm bed to sleep in at night. Also, I want to raise awareness of homelessness and make a change.

Exhibition

During our year five exhibition, well as me and my class call it expedition. In our groups we have been trying to write our lines of inquiry and in order to do that we need to fill out our lotus diagram and write our questions, then sort it into a statement and then BOOM! We have lines of inquiry. Well I’am posting about the lotus diagram and the process of writing it. So our teacher told us that we have form and causation and ect, and once we had filled all of the boxes out with lots of questions we start writing our lines of inquiry.
